When an Investor wants to close an investment in a fund, they must first make a close investment request to the Portfolio Manager (PM). The PM is sent an email to approve this request within 36 hours. If there is no response after 36 hours, the investment will be closed automatically.
Please note that Investors can cancel their close investment request before a PM approves it or before the automatic closure time and continue investing in the fund.
As a PM, follow these steps on how to respond to close investment requests manually:
- Log into your Personal Area (PA) and head to the Portfolio management tab.
- Navigate to the Requests tab, and select the Close investment option.
For each request, the Investor's details and the time remaining before the automatic closure of the investment will be displayed.
- Click Close investment on a request to end the investment.
What happens when an investment is closed?
- Investment orders are closed at market price.
- Performance fees are calculated and paid to the PM at the end of the billing period.
- The invested capital will be transferred to the Investor’s investment wallet.
